International Journal of hydro-climatic engineering

The International Journal of Hydroclimatic Engineering invites submissions of original research articles, review papers, short communications, and technical notes for its upcoming issues. The journal provides a dedicated platform for cutting-edge studies at the interface of hydrology, climate science, and engineering applications in a changing climate.

Scope of the journal

  • The journal welcomes high-quality contributions on, but not limited to:
  • Hydroclimatic processes across scales (catchment to global)
  • Climate change impacts on hydrological variables and water resources
  • Hydrological, climate, and coupled modelling (conceptual, numerical, and data-driven)
  • Extreme events: floods, droughts, heatwaves, and compound hazards
  • Hydroinformatics, machine learning, and AI applications in hydroclimate studies
  • Groundwater–surface water interactions under climate variability and change
  • Water quality, ecohydrology, and environmental flow assessment
  • Risk, resilience, and adaptation strategies in water resources management

Article types invited

  • Original research articles presenting novel methods, datasets, or applications
  • Review papers synthesizing progress and future directions in key hydroclimatic topics
  • Short communications with significant preliminary or case-specific findings
  • Technical notes on tools, models, algorithms, or datasets relevant to hydroclimatic engineering

Submission and publication

  • Manuscripts should be prepared in clear English, following the journal’s formatting and ethical guidelines as provided on the journal website.
  • All submissions undergo rigorous peer review by subject-matter experts to ensure scientific quality and originality.
  • Accepted articles are published online on a rolling basis, enabling rapid dissemination and citation of new research.

Who should submit

  • Researchers and academics in hydrology, climatology, civil and environmental engineering
  • Professionals and practitioners in water resources, consulting, and government agencies
  • Early-career researchers and doctoral students working on hydroclimatic and climate–water topics

How to submit

Prospective authors are invited to submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system, accessible via the publisher’s website. For detailed instructions for authors, formatting templates, and policies, please refer to the “Instructions for Authors” button given below.
